The hype behind Amazon Prime Day is real! Here’s what to know.

- Amazon Prime Day 2025 is a four-day sale running from July 8 to July 11.

Today marks the second day of Amazon’s biggest online shopping sale of the year. Amazon Prime Day started as a one-day sales event in 2015 to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary.
Over the years, the biggest online sale of the summer grew to include multiple days. This year, Amazon Prime Day will last for four days for the first time, starting July 8 and lasting through July 11.
Many Amazon Prime members use this sale to score savings on items that have been sitting on their wishlists for a while, but Floridians can use this opportunity to stock up on hurricane supplies.
Amazon Prime Day deals span a wide variety of product categories, offering low prices on everything from cosmetics to household items, electronics and clothing. But prices on some emergency preparedness items, like battery-powered lanterns and first aid kits, are also getting slashed.
Here’s what to know if you want to use Amazon’s Prime Day deals to save on your hurricane kit this year.
